Generally regarded as “Professional Clubmaking’s Most Honored Craftsman,” Dana Upshaw is an industry veteran with 16 years of full-time, professional club fitting, club making, and club repair experience. He is the recipient of every major clubmaking award including the Golf Clubmakers Association Clubmaker of the year, the Professional Clubmaker’s Society Clubmaker of the year, the Harvey Penick Award, multiple state and regional Clubmaker of the Year Awards, the Golfsmith Elite Clubmaker Award, the Precision Crystal Grip Award, and two Top Workshop Awards. He has completed multiple academic programs and is triple Master Clubmaker certified by the GCA, Maltby Golfworks, and now the AGCP. Based in Warner Robins GA, Dana’s fitting studio is regarded as one of the most unique and high-tech in the industry. Specializing in Performance Based Fitting of OEM Premium clubs, he is renowned for fitting and assembling clubs to zero-tolerance specifications that deliver maximum performance for the golfer’s unique swing. With his system of interchangeable heads and shafts, Dana has over 50,000 combinations of test clubs - truly something to fit everyone. A distinguished Master of his craft, this 21-year United States Air Force veteran is a frequent contributor to several internet-based forums and is an annual speaker at the AGCP Roundtable. He is also highly regarded for his knowledge of the golf swing and its impact on club performance.
